Functional Pilates for Adults 40+

This class is designed for adults 40+ who want to improve the way they move, feel stronger, and maintain an active, healthy lifestyle. It combines Pilates, mobility active training, and functional exercises to support joint health, flexibility, balance, and overall body strength in a safe and effective way, for functional life. The students will develop greater body awareness, better posture, improved balance, and techniques to reduce stiffness and prevent injuries.

I am a physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience, specialized in Pilates and movement-based therapies and I also have post degree in gerontoloigic PT. I have worked extensively with adults 40+, including teaching for over 18 years in a university program focused on active aging. My approach combines clinical knowledge with practical, effective movement strategies to help each student progress safely and confidently. Classes are conducted in a safe, supportive, and adaptable environment. Each session includes a combination of guided exercises focusing on mobility, strength, flexibility, and balance. Movements are adjusted to individual needs and levels, making the class suitable for beginners as well as more experienced participants. Emphasis is placed on proper technique, breathing, and controlled movement.

I am a physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience, specialized in Pilates and movement-based therapies. Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with adults 40+, including teaching for over 18 years in a university program focused on active aging. I was drawn to this topic because I truly believe that movement is essential for maintaining independence, health, and quality of life as we age. Seeing how the right exercises can reduce pain, improve mobility, and transform people’s daily lives is what motivates me. I’m excited to teach this class because it allows me to share practical, effective tools that help people feel stronger, more confident, and capable in their own bodies.
