Welcome to Come As You Are, a class built on the belief that recovery doesn’t require perfection—only presence. This space was created for individuals navigating substance use recovery at any stage, whether you’re just beginning to reflect, actively making changes, or maintaining your progress. There is no single path here, no expectation to follow a specific model, and no pressure to be anything other than who you are today.
Class Time:
4 hours of learning!
This class centers on creating a nonjudgmental, supportive environment where your voice matters. It’s a place where you can openly share your experiences, thoughts, and feelings without fear of stigma or criticism. We honor each person’s unique journey and recognize that healing looks different for everyone. By fostering mutual respect and understanding, we build a space where honesty is encouraged and connection can grow naturally.
Come As You Are is more than a class—it’s a community grounded in authenticity and compassion. Together, we explore what recovery means on a personal level, learning from one another and finding strength in shared experiences. Here, you are welcomed exactly as you are, and that is more than enough.
Hi, my name is Terri Elliott, and I’m a person of recovery with lived experience with a focus in substance use and also with the many challenges that come with it. My journey hasn’t been perfect or easy , but it’s real—and it’s taught me the value of meeting people exactly where they are, without expectations or pressure to fit into a specific spectrum.
This “Come As You Are” class was created with that same spirit. There’s no requirement to be at a certain stage of recovery, no expectation to have it all figured out, and no judgment about where you’ve been or where you are right now. Whether you’re just starting to think about change, actively working on your recovery, or somewhere in between, you are welcome here.
This space is about honesty, connection, and support. It’s a place where you can share your experiences, thoughts, and feelings freely—without fear of judgment. Together, we create a community rooted in respect, understanding, and authenticity, where everyone’s voice matters and everyone’s journey is honored.
