If you've always wanted to learn the keyboard or piano, or even music in general, but never knew where to start, than you've come to the right place! Hi, I'm Natalie, and I've been playing music for over 15 years. This class is for absolute beginners, and it will cover the basics of how music works on the piano. This class is a good foundation for learning other instruments as well because music theory concepts are generally easiest to understand on the piano.

I'm really excited to help you start on your music journey. When I was first learning music, I had to teach myself much of what I knew. Though that process is part of who I am as a musician, I sometimes wish I would have had someone to help make it go smoother! As an instructor, I know the places where it's easy to get confused, and I'm here to walk you through them.
Expect lots of real-life examples of class topics, including ones provided by you! This class will be taught live utilizing a video platform. I will be using Noteflight, a music notation tool, to demonstrate concepts. There are no prerequisites or requirements for this course other than access to a piano or keyboard during class times and a willingness to learn. I hope to see you there!
